SELINA 2025 highlights
In 2025, the SELINA Project reached an important milestone as partners gathered for the project’s fifth workshop in Azores to review progress and plan the next steps. The meeting marked the beginning of the project’s second phase and highlighted several key achievements.
During the year, SELINA advanced the development of its demonstration projects, which will showcase practical applications of natural capital and ecosystem service assessments. The project’s Communities of Practice also continued to grow, strengthening collaboration between researchers, policymakers and practitioners across Europe.
Work also progressed on a compendium of guidance designed to support evidence-based decision-making. The Seeds of Change identified in previous periods of SELINA also continued to evolve, showcasing cases where ecosystem services are being successfully integrated into decision-making process.
Through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing, SELINA continues to support nature-informed decision-making and contribute to the ambitions of the European Green Deal and the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.
