The section “Investigations and protection of water environment in Latvia” was held on 20.03.2025., in Riga, Latvia in the frame of the 83rd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia.
Section was organized by hydrobiologists, encompasses a broad range of topics, including research on inland, marine, and coastal waters, as well as hydrochemical and hydrological studies. It also covers experimental and methodological investigations.
A separate subsection was devoted to research conducted within the LIFE Good Water IP integrated project of the LIFE program covering topics like Implementation of measures to improve water quality in the demonstration water bodies of the LIFE GoodWater IP project; seasonal variations in water quality of demonstration water bodies in the LIFE GoodWater IP project; Impact of woody debris removal on the status of protected habitats and ecological quality of river: the example of Slocene river and Zaņa river.
