Workshop on water ecosystem services assessment methodologies and their practical usage was held online at 13th of January 2022. The international workshop was organised by LIFE IP CleanEST project with a total of 35 participants from Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands and United Kingdom.
The aim of the workshop was to learn which ecosystem services provided by water bodies have been or are planned to be assessed by water LIFE IP projects all over Europe and how have they assessed either the provision or consumption (or both) of these ecosystem services. In addition, the monetary value or the increase in monetary value of some ecosystem services was of interest.
LIFE GoodWater IP project was represented by project partner “Baltic coasts” and expert M.Fonteina-Kazeka held the presentation “Monitoring of ecosystem services restoration”.
